Andy’s Dream

Introducing ‘Andy’s Dream’ – a brand new Miss Lillian’s NO WAX Chock Paint color inspired by Andy Arnold of Andy’s Chairs.

Andy has inspired us and many others with his work and philosophy.  His favorite color is Blue, which is why we created Andy’s Dream.  We are very excited to announce our partnership with Andy’s Chairs in support of Project Healing Waters – an organization close to Andy’s and his family’s heart.  100% of all proceeds from the sale of ‘Andy’s Dream’ will be donated to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing.

About Andy

Andy was born with Down Syndrome and other health issues that kept him in and out of hospitals for many years.  However, his parents strongly believe that Jesus still heals today, so they chose to raise Andy without limits, believing that his life has purpose and trusting that he would fulfill everything God had for his life.

Raised with three other siblings in a family that treats him like an equal in all ways, Andy’s unique characteristics and talents have flourished.    He has been continually challenged to discover and fulfill the God-given desires of his heart.  His charisma, unfailing joy and unbiased friendliness makes him a favorite wherever he goes.  By the time he graduated from High School in 2016, Andy had made friends with the entire school – students, faculty and service staff alike.

When anyone asked Andy what he was going to do after High School, he would immediately respond “Own my own business!”   He underlined that desire by always wearing a dress shirt and tie, even to school, because he KNEW one day God would give him his own business.

Andy has been surrounded with creativity his whole life – his father does home construction and wood-working and his mother is an artist   On a quiet day soon after high school graduation, his mom handed him a paintbrush and a pint-sized rocking chair –  and the seed was planted.

With training and guidance from his parents and the encouragement of many friends and community members, Andy is learning refinishing skills as well as  developing a passion for each chair,  naming them as he is inspired, and praying that the message behind each chair encourages and inspires each owner.

Andy sells his work, but part of his dream is to donate many chairs to bring joy, comfort, and inspiration into places where hope is needed – like Cook Children’s hospital where he began his journey, and where he recently returned with a JOY chair donated so others can be inspired by his message.

Andy is already changing his world ……one chair at a time!!!

About Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing

All proceeds from the sales of ‘Andy’s Dream’ will be donated to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing – an organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.  This organization is important to Andy because his brother, Tony, is a disabled veteran. Carolyn Arnold, Andy’s Mom,  explains more  “We are currently working with the unit out of Ft Hood. There are several Project Healing Waters across the US. Our son, Tony (Andy’s Brother) is a disabled veteran and went fishing two weeks ago along Andy’s daddy. They had the time of their life to be out in the middle of a lake with a fast boat with an incredible Regional Director who loves the soldiers with all his heart.”
